Arizona has new rules meant to preserve state’s dwindling groundwater supplies

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – As of Monday, Nov. 25, Arizona has new rules for using groundwater as a guarantee before building a housing development.

According to the 1980 Groundwater Law engineered by then Arizona Gov. Bruce Babbitt, a development must be able to guarantee that the homes will have a 100-year supply of water.
