Former Arizona U.S. Rep. Gabby Giffords has released a statement commemorating the 14th anniversary of the worst day of her life , and the lives of many others.
It begins , “Fourteen years ago my life changed forever, as did so many others. Not a day goes by where I don’t think of the six people who were tragically killed on Jan. 8, 2011. They are always with me. In the face of this senseless act of violence, I remain inspired by the courage that Tucson has shown in the intervening years.”
