Teresa Christine Payne, 72, died Jan. 21, 2025, surrounded by her family. Teresa was born to Dale and Barabara Lundeen on Oct. 8, 1952. She grew up in Burlington, with her three sisters, Linda, Melanie, and Julie. She graduated from Burlington High School in 1970.
Teresa was married from 1977 to 1994 in which she had two daughters Colette Payne (Ritter) and Genelle Payne. She was a public servant for more than 38 years for the State of Iowa and Section 8 housing from which she retired in 2017. She enjoyed being the activities director for the residents of Autumn Heights.
