There is an urgent recall on a popular frozen Mexican food sold at Aldi stores in Iowa.
Officials are very concerned about getting these popular taquitos off shelves, but mainly out of the freezers in people’s homes. If you frequently buy this product or know someone who does, get rid of it immediately.
Iowa Aldi Stores Recall Taquitos Containing Metal
The USDA announced that the company Bestway Sandwiches Inc. is recalling approximately 24,870 pounds of frozen chicken and cheese taquito products that may be contaminated with foreign material, specifically metal.
These items were shipped to select ALDI grocery stores nationwide, including in Iowa. I checked to see if you could order them online and it definitely let me select them to add to my cart on Jan. 15th.
The frozen chicken and cheese taquito items were produced on July 3, 2024, and September 25, 2024.
- 20-oz. carton packages containing “CASA MAMITA CHICKEN & CHEESE TAQUITOS,” with Best By Dates 07/03/25 and 09/25/25 on the bottom panel.
