October is set to continue a year of various 50th anniversary celebrations for The ArtsCenter, a popular arts education nonprofit in Carrboro, as several local businesses are pledging their support through a new fundraiser.
The ArtsCenter shared a release on Tuesday announcing a lineup of restaurants and bars participating in “Artstober” to help raise money for and spread awareness of its operations. Eleven different Carrboro businesses will share 10 percent of their proceeds from lunch, dinner or drinks on their specific day with the nonprofit. The stretch of donation days begin on Oct. 5 with Carrburritos and end on Oct. 29 with Tesoro.
