Minnesota DB Coleman Bryson Signs with UNC

Coleman Bryson is returning to his home state. The Minnesota defensive back transfer has signed with Bill Belichick and the Tar Heels, multiple sources confirmed on Friday.

Bryson, a 6-2, 210-pound sophomore, entered the transfer portal on Tuesday. He compiled 54 tackles in three years with the Golden Gophers. He has two seasons of eligibility remaining.

This past season, Bryson recorded 20 tackles in 264 snaps at safety. He started in Minnesota’s 27-24 loss at Michigan, recording five tackles. He also played 155 snaps on special teams this season. His 2023 numbers were similar, with 25 tackles in 219 snaps on defense, plus 248 snaps on special teams…
