Part of Pennsylvania under a winter weather advisory until early Tuesday morning

On Monday at 2:42 p.m. a winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid from 9 p.m. until Tuesday 5 a.m. for Higher Elevations of Indiana as well as Mercer, Venango, Forest, Butler, Clarion, Jefferson, Armstrong and Indiana counties.

The weather service says, “Brief heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulation up to three inches.”

“Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous as snow falls at a high rate over a few hours. Plan on slippery road conditions,” says the weather service. “Please report snow or ice accumulations by calling 412-262-1988, posting to the NWS Pittsburgh Facebook page, or using Twitter @NWSPittsburgh.”
