Montana Winter Storm Warning: Up to 15 Inches of Snow Expected by 9 PM Wednesday

Great Falls, MT – A significant winter storm continues to affect central Montana, with heavy snow and strong winds creating hazardous conditions. The Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 9 p.m. MST Wednesday.

According to the National Weather Service, snow totals will vary by elevation, with 2 to 5 inches expected at lower elevations and up to 15 inches on higher peaks. Mountain ranges, including the Little Belt, Highwood, and Snowy Mountains, are bracing for accumulations between 6 and 12 inches. Gusting winds of up to 50 mph are expected to exacerbate blowing snow, significantly reducing visibility and making travel difficult.
