Southern California Edison submitted a report to state regulators last week that a legal complaint alleges the utility company’s equipment may have ignited the Mountain Fire.
On Nov. 6, Santa Ana winds gusted 80 mph as the Mountain Fire erupted near Somis, officials said. The blaze has burned roughly 31 square miles , destroyed scores of homes, sent residents to the hospital and forced evacuations in communities from Camarillo to Fillmore.
