Family escapes house fire in Marshall-Shadeland, fire captain injured

A family was able to escape when flames broke out at their home in Pittsburgh’s Marshall-Shadeland neighborhood early Tuesday.

The fire on Cake Way broke out around 3:30 a.m. Flames were seen shooting from the roof.

Fire officials on the scene said two adults and a child were able to get out safely. A fire captain suffered a shoulder injury…
