The check is from the proceeds of this year’s Cutest Christmas Pet Photo contest and will help cover the cost of rescuing abandoned or abused animals and their care as they await forever homes.

“We are an all of donation based, all volunteer-based cat rescue just outside the city of Weirton and 100% of the funds go to rescuing, saving animals, medical care and helping the community. As far as getting the animal population under control and helping with adoptions, we’re just so grateful for the community support every day. If we didn’t have the support from people and donations, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do and save so many lives.”
