Shell convicted of criminal charges after violating Pennsylvania’s Clean Streams Law

Pennsylvania — Shell Falcon Pipeline LP was convicted of criminal charges in Washington County Monday after it was found to have violated Pennsylvania’s Clean Streams Law.

In a statement from the Beaver County Marcellus Awareness Community, Shell was found to have violated the law during the construction of its ethane pipeline through Washington, Allegheny, and Beaver counties.

The pipeline connects three major ethane source points, the statement said, doing so through Houston, Pennsylvania; Scio, Ohio; and Cadiz, Ohio, all located within the Marcellus and Utica Shale regions…
