ATLANTA — A nonprofit group has secured a Guinness World Record by competing in a massive 121-hour long softball game in the name of raising awareness about sex trafficking.
The game began Sept. 17 at Dellinger Park in the Georgia city of Cartersville and concluded at 9 a.m. Sunday. To be Guinness-certified, the game could be played with a maximum of 40 players, with a minimum of 20 completing the challenge.
Players were allowed to sleep in the dugouts, eat meals on the field, and were only permitted five-minute bathroom breaks as part of the marathon.
