Crews have repaired a broken 12-inch main on Vermack Road, restoring water service to nearby Dunwoody neighborhoods.
Officials had been forced to shut off the water Wednesday morning but fixed the issue a few hours later, according to DeKalb County Watershed Management.
“As service is restored, customers in the affected area may experience brown water and are encouraged to run the faucets inside and outside their homes/businesses to clear the internal plumbing,” a news release said.

Dunwoody High School’s 2,000 students and staff were bused to Chamblee High School due to the outage at the school, Principal Tom Bass said in a letter to parents shared by the school district.
