Police: Man arrested in Monroe for breaking into mutiple cars

MONROE A suspected larcenist was arrested early on the morning of Tuesday, Dec. 17, according to a release from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

At 12:11 a.m., Deputy Austin Graham was dispatched to the area around Hull and East Dunbar roads in response to a complaint of larceny from a motor vehicle. The caller had seen a man inside their vehicle and confronted him, causing him to flee on foot into the Oakridge Estates mobile home community.

Several additional deputies, including a K-9 unit, converged on the area and began searching for the suspect. During the search, they discovered several other vehicles in the area had been illegally entered. The suspect was located, still on foot, in Oakridge Estates and taken into custody without incident…
