A post-Christmas break from the drab weather

Both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day were overcast days with temperatures not varying much from day to night. However, a change is on the way Thursday with clouds breaking for some sunshine by the second half of the day. Temperatures will respond to the brighter weather; highs Thursday will be around 7 degrees warmer-than-average. Friday will be even warmer despite clouds returning during the afternoon and evening.

A warm front is set to lift across the region Friday night, resulting in a good chance for rain showers. Eastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania will spend much of Saturday in a zone of drier air, so much of the ay may end being rain-free.
