Akron superintendent denies calling 2 reporters ‘hos’

Akron Superintendent Michael Robinson has issued his first public statement denying allegations that he called female reporters a derogatory term.

The Beacon Journal this week first reported allegations by retired district Communications Director Mark Williamson that the superintendent twice called two female journalists — including an Akron Beacon Journal reporter —”hos” during a closed-door meeting with other administrators.

In a letter to the district’s legal counsel obtained by the Beacon Journal, Williamson also outlined a pattern of behavior by Robinson that he called “inordinate hostility” toward staff…
