YORK, Pa. — It’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day and the snowy roads did not stop Crispus Attucks York from hosting their 43rd Annual MLK Jr. Day of Service in York City.
This long-standing tradition brings the community together to honor Dr. King’s legacy of equality, service and social justice.
“Each year we try to do what we like to call a ‘King moment,’ a King moment is the educational piece. Many of us already know about ‘I have a dream,’ but there were so many layers to Dr. King,” said Kelly Summerford, the program’s director. “And during a King moment we try to give our audience, our community, just a little bit more to bite on.”…
