Gettysburg Parent Charged After School Play Incident

Andrew Wick, a 32-year-old Gettysburg resident, faces multiple misdemeanor charges following an incident during an elementary school play at Franklin Township Elementary School, according to Pennsylvania State Police. The event occurred on March 20, 2024, leading to charges being filed on December 27, 2024.

Wick is charged with terroristic threats, disorderly conduct, defiant trespass, possession of controlled substances, and public drunkenness. The incident prompted an emergency response as attendees evacuated the building when Wick allegedly began throwing objects and threatening to use a bomb.

Police reports indicate that upon arrival, officers found Wick on the school stage, visibly under the influence and in possession of drug paraphernalia, including a recently used smoking device and a THC-infused gummy.
