DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) – Following a “significant increase” of respiratory illnesses across the Triangle area, Duke Health leaders said all of their hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers are temporarily limiting patient visitations, according to a news release on Friday.
Daytime visitors for patients will be limited to no more than two people ages 12 and older, while overnight visitors must be at least 18 years old unless they are the parent or caregiver of a pediatric patient, health officials said.
These visitor restrictions will go into effect at all Duke University Health System facilities on Monday, Jan. 6.
