DENVER, Colo. – In a competition where bull riders are often bested by their bovine adversaries, the National Western Stock Show Denver Chute-Out has seen a lot of bull riders hit the dirt.
As one of the premier events on the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour, the competition attracts the best bull riders and features top-notch bucking bulls as well. In the 2025 edition, two bull riders were successful on three out of three bulls.
The event winner was Alan de Souza from Taubate, Sao Paul, Brazil who had a total of 239.5 points. He is currently ranked 12th in the PBR world standings and this win certainly helped that as well. He had a 72.5 point ride on Monday night to advance to Wednesday night’s competition. His first bull on Wednesday night was Renegade owned by Hale/Vella/Ogden/Hart. That match-up was worth 83 points and a sixth-place finish. In the final round, he scored 84 points on Dialed In owned by Double S Bull Co./Cervi. That’s where the big money came into play.
The 31-year-old de Souza earned $2,520 for that ride and a whopping $17,460 for the highest total score on three rides. His total take out of the Denver Coliseum was $19,980…
