Denver is set to embrace a fusion of fabulousness and philanthropy with the “Paws & Platforms Disco Drag Brunch,” a fundraiser for the Denver Animal Shelter (DAS) that promises a morning rich with extravagant performances and a heart for animal welfare, according to an announcement from the shelter. The event, slated for October 13 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., will feature drag queen and king shows alongside a savory spread of breakfast options, cocktails, and a peek into the world of animal caregiving at DAS, home to over 8,700 animals annually.

Mingling with Denver’s finest drag talent like Valentino Verde, Throbbin Hood, Bambinaa Donutt, Dean Dazzle, and Mona Mystic, attendees are encouraged to strut in their disco best as they revel in the performances and contribute to the shelter’s mission, this blend of entertainment and education aims to shine a light on DAS’s daily endeavors that range from animal rescue to critter care. As reported by the City and County of Denver, not only are platform heels and sequins invited to this dance, but so too are open hearts and wallets, for the creatures in need of forever homes will be making appearances at the event.

Vying for fabulous prizes, participants can bank on potentially snagging pet gift baskets and staycations with raffle tickets available at the door, $5 for one or $35 for ten.
