A local Colorado town councilman is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly shooting a teenager looking to take homecoming photos on his girlfriends property.

A 17-year-old Colorado teenager was shot in the face while looking for a place to take homecoming photos near a lake just outside of Denver. The alleged shooter, 38-year-old Brent Metz is a councilman from the Mountain View, allegedly fired his gun by accident, reportedly saying, “Oh s—, my gun went off,” according to court records.

The boy survived the shooting, though he suffered serious injuries to his face. Despite telling police he didn’t believe Metz intended to shoot him, Metz was arrested and now faces multiple felony charges, including first-degree assault…
