Liberty Hill looks to its future in downtown

LIBERTY HILL, Texas (KXAN) — Liberty Hill wants to trade in some of its car traffic for foot traffic. The city recently unveiled a master plan for downtown to get more people to visit.

“It used to be Loop 332. We changed it to Main Street last year because we just want it to feel like more of a historical downtown,” the city’s Director of Communications, Katie Amsler, said.

The city has nearly tripled in size over the last four years. The latest census data from 2023 shows more than 10,000 people call Liberty Hill home.
