Iowa’s Wetjen ties Music City Bowl record with touchdown return

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (KCAU/WHBF) – The Hawkeyes season ended in Nashville Monday night with a 27-24 loss to Mizzou, but one of the best highlights capped off a great season and great story from Iowa’s return man Kaden Wetjen.

In the first quarter Wetjen took the ball out from Iowa’s goal line and sprinted up the sideline for 100 yards. It tied a Music City Bowl record.

Wejten led the entire nation in kick return yards and total return yards. He earned All-American status this season and did it as a walk-on. Wetjen gave all the credit of his success to his teammates…
