MARION, Iowa (KCRG) – Wind, humidity, topography: These can all contribute to monumental wildfires like the one we are seeing in California right now. That’s according to Marion Fire Chief Tom Fagan.
“They all play factors into how the fire grows and how it’s able to be controlled effectively,” said Fagan. “Environmental conditions are such a major factor pertaining to wildfires and that’s really anywhere whether that’s here in Iowa or such as the fire conditions that are on the West Coast.”
