New Laws To Go Into Effect First Of The Year In Iowa

Des Moines, Iowa – A handful of laws in Iowa are going into effect at the start of the new year. This includes House File 674, which increases vehicle registration and title fees. Applications for initial registration and a title of a vehicle or commercial vehicle will increase from 20 to 30-dollars. The new fee will also apply for applications for a replacement copy of a title, a new title upon transfer, and more.
