CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – ‘We got next’ is the mantra that first year head coach Jan Jensen is using for this year’s Iowa women’s basketball team. She’s told her group that it’s all about looking through the windshield and forgetting about what’s in the rearview mirror.
“Any time you lose a very senior-heavy class or maybe I should say experienced class, there’s just a gap for a while,” Jensen explained. “I don’t care how great that freshman class is coming in, there’s no speedy trick for experience.”
