Montgomery County schools open emergency meal sites for students following storm

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — On Tuesday, Jan. 7, schools across Montgomery County were closed for the second day in a row after a winter storm blew across the DMV.

In response, Montgomery County Public School (MCPS) announced that 16 emergency meal distribution sites will open on Tuesday to provide students with a warm meal.

The sites will open from noon until 2 p.m. for students and children under the age of 18.
