Rideshare driver shot and killed on New Year’s Day in Prince George’s County

COTTAGE CITY, Md. — Police in Prince George’s County are on the hunt for who shot and killed a rideshare driver at the start of the new year. Detectives are offering a reward of $25,000 to anyone who may have information about what happened.

According to investigators, the shooting happened in the town of Cottage City. Just after 10:30 p.m., officers responded to the 3300 block of Bladensburg Road where they found a man, later identified as 36-year-old Oluwatosin Adetula, shot in a parking lot. He was taken to the hospital for treatment, where he died from his injuries on Tuesday.

Homicide detectives say Adetula was working as a rideshare driver at the time of the murder. The investigation is ongoing, and so far no arrests have been made in this case. Police have not provided any information about suspects in this case…
