Farming families recognized for centuries of service at Pennsylvania Farm Show

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — Nine farm families dating back a century, or in one case, two, were recognized Friday at the Farm Show.

Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding presented a Bicentennial Farm designation to a Berks County farm owned by Mark and Kim Weber. Their farm in Mohnton dates back to 1784 and is one of Berks County’s oldest continuously operated farms.

To put that into perspective, Dauphin County was only incorporated a year later in 1785…
