The Shippensburg University volleyball team swept Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division opponent Bloomsburg on Friday night at Nelson Field House to earn its fifth straight conference victory. Set scores were 27-25, 25-13 and 25-20. Shippensburg (10-9, 5-1 PSAC East) finished the match hitting .196 from the floor and recorded 34 kills. Bloomsburg (6-11, 4-2 PSAC East) finished the match with 33 kills and a .088 hitting percentage. The Raiders delivered 13 services ace to the Huskies eight. SU out-blocked Bloomsburg 8-6.
The SU offense was led by sophomore Natalya Montague who recorded nine kills, hit .389 from the floor and committed just two attack errors on 18 swings. Junior Isabelle Bombas was also a key piece to the SU offense, hitting .500 from the floor and collecting seven kills on zero errors.
