(WHTM) — A Harrisburg soup kitchen received help from Cumberland County students.
Students at Trinity High School near Camp Hill volunteered on the assembly line at Saint Francis Soup Kitchen. They handed out food supplies to over 250 people. For the past two months, Trinity has brought a group of students to work at the soup kitchen on Tuesdays.
“Getting them to serve the community I think is important to them,” said Nicholas Sansone, a teacher at Trinity. “It gives them a feel that there are people in need within ten minutes of where they live.”
