The recruiting news for the Illinois women’s basketball team in the Class of 2025 has been a slow trickle.

That it’s taken patience has been part of the process third-year coach Shauna Green expected. The Illini have not only recruited some high-level players but really had to given they’re going to have five players exhaust their eligibility after the 2024-25 season. Planning for that — in and of itself — is unique with Illinois looking to bring in at least five players in the 2025 class, and preferring to do so by adding high school players as opposed to going to the transfer portal…
