Local drag queen designs platform heels for annual High Heel Race in DC

WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — Runners across the DMV are getting ready for the 37 th Annual 17 th Street High Heel Race .

The event brings out thousands of people to Washington D.C.’s Dupont Circle, celebrating the LGBTQ+ community while also supporting local businesses.

Drag queen Regina Jozet Adams joined DC News Now Monday ahead of the fun-filled night. Adams bedazzles shoes with stones.

37th annual High Heel Race coming to Northwest DC, preps underway

She used her skills to modify a pair of heels for DC News Now’s Morning Anchor Cory James, who is participating in the race.
