CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS) — An Oklahoma man who flew to West Virginia in an attempt to have sex with two underage girls was sentenced to prison Monday, federal prosecutors said.
Jerrod Lee Sharp, 41, of Ponca City, Okla., was sentenced to 30 years in prison followed by a lifetime of supervised release in a case dating back to 2022, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of West Virginia.
Sharp admitted to messaging a woman in West Virginia in July 2022 whom he believed to be the mother of two minor girls expressing his wishes to engage in sexual relations with them, the news release said…
