CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS) — Pedestrians will lace their shoes and zip up jackets in preparation for the 16th annual Charleston Winter Series, which features tracks of increasing distance over the span of three months.
The city of Charleston, along with the Parks and Recreation Department, has opened registration for the race series, which will include three routes for runners and walkers:
- Dec. 15 – 5K run, 3K walk
- Jan. 12 – 8K run, 4K walk
- Feb. 16 – 10K run, 5K walk
Event organizers have set registration fees at $40 for a single race and $90 for the full series. Racers that finish all three routes will earn a hooded sweatshirt…
