LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A father’s quest for justice continues years after his teenage son was brutally killed in Louisville on Thanksgiving Day.

It’s been three years of heartbreak for Cortez Duncan Sr. since his son, Cortez Duncan Jr., 15, was shot and killed in a Shawnee alleyway in 2021.

“I’ve had to accept that we won’t physically see or touch Cortez anymore during the holidays, but he’s still with us always in spirit,” said Duncan Sr. “Children are supposed to bury their parents; parents aren’t supposed to bury their children.”…
