Kentucky Kingdom announces first installation of $25M expansion opening in 2025

LOUISVILLE, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — This Christmas, Kentucky Kingdom Theme and Water Park is giving families a gift to remember for years to come.

On Wednesday, the theme park announced its new “family-themed land” set to open in May 2025.

“Focused on celebrating the beauty and spirit of the Bluegrass with a Kentucky twist, this exciting addition will feature new rides, attractions, and dining options that promise fun for every member of the family,” park representatives said.

The $11 million investment will consist of:

  • Three new family-friendly rides
  • 10 “re-themed” rides with a “Kentucky twist”
  • Playground spanning 4,800 square feet
  • Two “reimagined” dining locations

But there’s more to come. Kentucky Kingdom representatives said this is only its first installation of a $25 million expansion over the next two seasons.
