New task force aims to stop copper wire thefts in Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A newly formed Critical Infrastructure Task Force, comprised of representatives from Louisville Metro government, law enforcement, and partners like AT&T and LG&E, is working to track copper thefts and prosecute criminals.

Members of the task force have been meeting regularly throughout the year to create a dashboard for tracking, analyzing, and measuring progress on reducing the frequency of copper wire thefts.
