CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A person has serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle along Interstate 85 Tuesday evening.
According to Medic officials, the pedestrian incident occurred around 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, on I-85 South near Billy Graham Parkway. One person was transported to Atrium Health CMC with life-threatening injuries.

N.C. Department of Transportation showed all southbound lanes being blocked following the accident, and heavy delays back to Glenwood Drive. The scene is expected to be cleared by 8:15 p.m.
