Vehicle fire closes Interstate 77, causing traffic chaos in Iredell County

MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Southbound lanes of Interstate 77 have reopened in Iredell County after a crash and a vehicle on fire caused major backups on Monday morning.

It happened just before 7 a.m. in Mooresville by Exit 35, according to the local department of transportation.
