A Spotsylvania musician who has been playing Carter Family music since 1969 is still on the road and coming to the area next month for two special performances.
Ronnie Williams and the Carter Family Sound will be live on stage at 7 p.m. on Oct. 4 at Remington Baptist Church and at 1 p.m. Oct. 15 at Beth Car Baptist Church Homecoming in Madison.
Williams plays guitar and autoharp in the style of Mother Maybelle Carter (1909-1978) a country music icon born and raised in Virginia. Her singing daughter, June Carter, married Johnny Cash. Two other daughters, Helen and Anita, all performed together…
