Baylor Girls’ Cross Country Has Strong Showing At Wingfoot Meet

Addy Cotter and Addi Greene once again led Baylor’s girls’ cross-country team to a strong finish on a warm Saturday night at the Wingfoot Cross Country Classic in Cartersville, Georgia. Contested at Sam Smith Park, harriers race over rolling hills, long straightaways and hay bale jumps. In the night’s premier event—the Championship Girls 5K—Baylor’s squad was 17th of the 31 invited teams. Cotter was 16th overall and Greene was 17th; and Laney Fowler, Betsy Williams, & Claire Ellish scored for the Red Raiders.

In the JV Championship race, Baylor’s girls were 5th overall. Peyton Roop led her team with an 11th place finish. Luci Hemphill, Ruby Dozier, Emily Beardsley, & Meghan Royal rounded out the JV scoring squad. Gracey Weekley was Baylor’s top finisher in the Freshman Girls 5K…
