The pattern for our part of the country remains cloudy, cool and wet. Occasional light rain is likely again today (Christmas Day) and into tonight. Coverage looks heavier again in MO and IL but some rain is likely to brush TN and KY as well. It will be cool but not cold or windy; highs should again range from the upper 40s north to the low 50s south. Thursday will give us a brief ‘break’ with just a few showers at times, but more rain is likely Thursday night into the weekend.
It will be a bit warmer and more humid for the end of the week and into the weekend. Two or three periods of active weather are likely, starting Thursday night into early Friday. This will bring heavier showers and maybe a few embedded thunderstorms. Another round of showers and storms is likely on Saturday……
