Millsboro Auxiliary’s MLK event will feed needs of vets

MILLSBORO — Following the legacy of the late Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., American Legion Auxiliary Unit 28 will hold a collection drive for the food pantry at the Veterans Affairs Wilmington Healthcare System.

The goal is to support veterans who have served this country and now need assistance, said the Auxiliary’s vice president, Beth McGinn.

Donations, including breakfast and protein bars, oatmeal packs, microwaveable meals, tuna, rice, crackers, teabags and similar nonperishable items, are being accepted. Canned goods are not requested…
