Housing nonprofit changes its name

RICHMOND, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) — Virginia Supportive Housing, a nonprofit dedicated to ending homelessness, has decided to rebrand as SupportWorks Housing.

Started in 1988, the organization opened its first supportive housing community in Richmond in 1992. It has since spread to other cities, including Charlottesville, where it opened The Crossings at 4th & Preston in 2012.

It’s about to break ground on its second area project, Vista 29, in Albemarle County…
