PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) — Petersburg National Battlefield is inviting people to get involved with a new art project at the park ahead of Earth Day this year.
People can come to the Wildlife Station at Five Forks Battlefield on Saturday, Feb. 8 at 11 a.m. for a free art event to help redecorate the wildlife mailbox and write a “Dear Earth” note to prepare for Earth Day (April 22).
Watercolor and colored pencils will be available for people to add their ideas to the mailbox as well as creating projects of their own. The notes that people write, or draw, will be shared at the Eastern Front Visitor Center for Earth Day, according to the park…
