PHOTOS: New Kent deputy, sergeant save owl trapped in netting

NEW KENT COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A New Kent County Sheriff’s deputy and sergeant rescued an owl trapped in netting on Friday.

On Friday, Dec. 6, Deputy Yost and Sergeant Majette with the New Kent County Sheriff’s Office’s Animal Protection Unit worked to rescue an owl that had tangled itself in netting.

According to the office, the nature of the owl’s predicament meant it needed careful extraction.
