PETERSBURG − A pedestrian was killed Sunday in what police say was a hit-and-run on U.S. Route 460 in southeastern Petersburg.
It happened shortly after 9 p.m. near the Spring Garden Mobile Home Park in the 2200 block of County Drive [Route 460]. In a social-media post, police said witnesses told them the man was hit by an eastbound silver or gray Lincoln car that could have major front-end damage. The driver never stopped and was last seen heading toward Prince George County.
The victim, currently identified only as an Hispanic male, was taken to an area hospital where he later died…
